On Tuesday this week our School and ELC celebrated Harmony Day. Students and teachers have been discussing and implementing activities about multiculturalism during the week leading up to Harmony Day. Students discussed ‘home languages’, how we say “Hello” in different ways and encouraged children to peak short phases in different languages other than English. Some students and staff also arrived in traditional costumes. Anyone who didn’t dress in traditional costumes wore orange to represent their support for the Day.
Students also had the opportunity at lunch time to sample food from around the world. Thank you all of the families who bought in traditional food for lunch!
